Critical thinking skills as a tool for teaching management of an educational institution
Abstract
The present investigative study was established in the correlation that arises between the development of critical thinking skills as a tool for the teaching management of an educational institution, with an objective knowledge of the impact that can be generated in the teaching processes of the students. To collect the information, a survey was developed with multiple choice questions, which addressed the learning strategies that their teachers currently use. Likewise, questions were asked about the development of critical thinking skills, in which was able to check the current development of criticality. The quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and correlational statistical techniques, analyzing these data through a study of references that allowed the objective apprehension of the previous experiences of the participants, that is, student teachers and managers of the educational institution. The importance of students raising hypotheses about new knowledge was determined, with the purpose of developing their own thoughts about what they received in the classroom, from their interests or inclinations, so that this critical subject is constituted when inserted into a social context, in adult life.
